Today is the 60th birthday of Steve Cole, the American men's basketball team and Warriors coach. Let us wish him a happy birthday.
Kor was born on September 27, 1965 in Beirut, Lebanon. In the 1988 NBA draft, Cole was selected by the Suns with the 25th pick in the second round. When he was a player, Cole played for the Suns, the Cavaliers, Magic, Bulls, Spurs and the Trail Blazers. He completed three consecutive championships with the Bulls in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98. He then won the championship with the Spurs in 1998-99, and won the championship with the Spurs again in 2002-03. He announced his retirement after the end of the season. After retiring, Cole became TNT's commentator and became the general manager of the Suns in 2007. In 2010, Cole announced his resignation and then returned to the post of commentator.
In May 2014, Cole became the head coach of the Warriors. On April 14, 2016, Cole led the Warriors to 73 wins, becoming the team with the most winning games in NBA history, and Cole became the only person to win 72 wins (and above) twice. So far, Cole has led the Warriors to win four championships.
On December 21, 2021, Cole became the head coach of the US men's basketball team. At the Paris Olympics ended this year, the US men's basketball team won the gold medal.
