The Daily Sports Daily reported that although La Liga has implemented various restrictions in recent years, Barcelona has found a certain buffer space for financial fair policies through contract renewals of some players.

According to the latest budget preparation rules approved by La Liga in early 2025, players registration fees are amortized by up to five years (if club salary exceeds the limit, it will be four years), this standard is consistent with the UEFA model. For example, although Barcelona signed a six-year contract with Joan Garcia, accounting treatment still requires five years of amortization, and if the 1:1 rule is not reached, it needs to be compressed to four years.

However, this rule does not apply to renewal of existing contracts. According to the Daily Sports News, from La Liga sources, in accordance with Article 94.6 of the League Regulations, the club can allocate the amortized expenses to the new contract cycle in case of renewal, thereby freeing up the salary limit space.

This clause is particularly critical to the cases of Rafinia and Conde. The original contract of the two was signed in the summer of 2022 and both expired in 2027. Lafinia will be renewed recently until 2028, and Conde will be renewed until 2030. Barcelona can allocate the remaining amortization amount to the new years, thereby creating a registration limit under the financial fair policy.

Take Rafinia as an example. Of the 58 million euros fixed transfer fee, 34.8 million has been amortized, and the remaining 23.2 million has been pending. Previously, 11.6 million yuan would have to be amortized annually in the next two years, and after renewal, it would be increased by about 7.73 million yuan per year in three years, achieving a single-season accounting saving of 3.87 million euros.

Kong De's basic transfer fee of 50 million + floating clause of 5 million, and the remaining 20 million euros would have to be set aside 10 million per year within two years. After renewal until 2030, the club can withdraw at 4 million per year in five years, which will increase Barcelona's accounting space by nearly 6 million per season, and the cumulative financial fair amount of 9.87 million can be used for new players registration.
