Miami International coach Mascherano attended the pre-match press conference and talked about the next Club World Cup.

Mascherano said: "Palmeiras is a Brazilian giant... and the club I played for back then (Corlintien) is even greater."

"Just kidding, Palmeiras can always attract a large number of fans to the court. There will definitely be a large number of supporters at that time, just like Flamengo or Boca fans, South American fans will follow the home team to the ends of the world."

During his time at Corintien, Mascherano played against Palmeiras three times. In his debut in July 2005, he won 3-1: "That was my debut, I won the ball, and of course I also got a yellow card. After all, I am a midfielder and full-time interception, not the No. 10 position."

"Those games are full of passion, and the fans of both teams are shocking. Despite constant injuries, my time in Brazil is still wonderful."

Speaking of the upcoming showdown, Mascherano showed respect to Palmeiras: "They are the Liberators Cup and the Brazilian League championship, with experienced coaches, as well as high-level players such as Estewan, Rock, and Felipe Anderson, and their tactics are changing. This will be a tough battle."

"We must strive to win with all our might. I understand the difficulty of the challenge, but I also believe in the weapons I have."
