Sarri: Lautaro should receive a yellow card for his foul. It’s time for Serie A to invite referees from abroad to enforce the law.

In the 11th round of Serie A this morning, Lazio lost 0-2 away to Inter Milan. Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri attended the post-match press conference.

You conceded the goal at the beginning of the game. It is already difficult to ask the team to do better?

There are two aspects to consider. One is the technical level. There is a big technical gap between us and Inter Milan. But I'm happy with the character of the team. It could have been a heavy defeat but we stayed the course and even had a chance to equalize. The team is making progress.

Are you satisfied with the team's offense?

I was not satisfied in the past, but I am satisfied now.

Will you demand action during the winter transfer period? Which players can recover?

This is subject to permission from the team doctor. I will accept everything until next June and I have made a commitment to the Lazio fans. I think the club will make a clear statement in the next few days.

What do you think of Guendouzi?

I don’t think he was that nervous. In my opinion, his performance was similar to the past few years. He played more emotionally during the game. Things changed for him after he received a red card for a stupid move in the Rome derby. In recent games, we are one of the teams with the fewest yellow cards, and the team's mentality is gradually adjusting.

Why did you get a yellow card in the 25th minute?

Lautaro should have received a yellow card for his previous foul on Zakani, and even a saint would be angry about it. Then Zakani was not even allowed to return (giving Inter Milan a chance to counterattack and shoot).

Is the referee too tolerant?

The referee did not affect the result of the game. But I think it’s time to invite referees from abroad to enforce the law. I don’t see any domestic referees with sufficient level.

How is Romagnoli's physical condition? What about Rovera?

I haven't seen Rovira for a while because he is working on a different rehabilitation program and I don't know how long it will take for him to recover. The replacement of Romagnoli in this game is just a precautionary measure.
