TA: Ideally, Newcastle wants Sesco to become Isaac s forward partner

According to The Athletic, Liverpool's pursuit of Isaac and Newcastle's bid for Sesco have made progress.

Two clubs have submitted offers for the two strikers. One of them was rejected, while the other did not meet Leipzig's valuation of Sesco. Isaac had been training alone at his former boss Real Sociedad, but had returned to Newcastle on Saturday. In addition, Manchester United are also interested in Cesco, and they have decided to make it the number one target this summer.

Newcastle has reportedly rejected a formal offer of 110 million pounds for Isaac. Liverpool had previously had informal inter-club contacts and expressed their intention to complete the Isaac deal for about 120 million pounds.

Isaac hopes to leave Newcastle this summer. Eddie Howe and Newcastle were training at Real Sociedad when they were on the pre-season tour of Asia in South Korea. Isaac has returned to the UK and will resume training with Newcastle after training alone for a period of time at Real Sociedad.

Newcastle has provided Cesco with a quotation worth 80 million euros. Their bid includes a basic transfer fee of 75 million euros and a potential additional clause of up to 5 million euros. But the report said the offer did not meet Leipzig's valuation of Sesco.

Cesco has also aroused interest from Manchester United, and the players have not yet made a final decision on choosing the next player this summer.

Liverpool's interest continues, but whether the offer will be increased remains to be seen. Although Newcastle rejected Liverpool's offer, it is not expected to be the end of the matter.

Liverpool knows that their initial valuation of Isaac is far from Newcastle's expectations (nearly £150 million). There is also an additional factor, that Newcastle insists that Isaac will not be sold until it finds a comparable replacement.

However, so far, no further trends have been made. If Newcastle makes a breakthrough in pursuing Cesco, Liverpool will reconsider their initial offer and raise the amount.

Newcastle estimates the player at about 150 million pounds. The quote is closer to this number, and they will at least be willing to talk about it.

It is very clear that Newcastle has left a way out for Isaac. The club did not publicly criticize him for not participating in the Asian tour with the team, but insisted that he suffered a "slight thigh injury." He was not criticized for training alone at Real Sociedad. Isaac returned to Newcastle training on Saturday.

After Callum Wilson's contract expired at the end of last month, ensuring reinforcement and providing a substitute for Isaac has been one of their priorities.

In "ideally," a senior source said Sesco will play for Newcastle with Isaac this season, and perhaps the latter will agree to a new contract with a termination clause. In less ideal situations, Sesco is theoretically good enough to be a replacement for Isaac.

Leipzig is willing to sell Sesco as long as the valuation is met. When Cesco renewed his contract in June last year, the tacit understanding between the two sides was: if there was a "special" club bid between 80 million and 90 million euros this summer, they would not stop it. But Leipzig is willing to sell rather than rush to sell, and they are happy to stay in Sesco for another year.

Cesco and his team have been careful to think about their next steps. Despite Manchester United's interest in him last year, he chose to stay in Leipzig and renew his contract.

Manchester United continues to negotiate on Cesco, who has not yet made a decision on its future. However, this decision may be made in the coming days as Newcastle drives the process through the offer.

In addition, Liverpool is eager to sell forward Nunes and will hear appropriate offers for the players. Chiesa Jr. is expected to transfer, but this will not make Liverpool short of staff.

With the addition of Ekitic and Werz, plus the existing Salah and Garkepo, there are four strong adult players to choose from on the front line. Another new player this summer, Flynn Poon, can also serve as the right winger and fullback.

coach Slott has also repeatedly stated that he will only introduce players who can improve the team's strength. So if they can’t get Isaac, or be able to sell Nunes, they’ll likely maintain their existing roster.
