The Western media "World Sports" reported that if Ter Stegen undergoes back surgery and is absent for 4 months or more, Barcelona will give priority to registering Joan-Garcia, and the registration will be subject to other financial operations.

If Ter Stegen undergoes surgery to resolve back problems, for Barcelona, who still cannot apply the 1:1 rule to register players because they exceed the economic "fair competition" rules, the possibility of using the long-term injury regulations of La Liga will be opened again. The club did this last season when Ter Stegen had a serious knee injury and used 80% of his salary to register for Szczesny urgently.

In this case, as long as Ter Stegen's surgery causes his absence for more than 4 months, Barcelona will use 80% of Ter Stegen's salary to register Joan Garcia. The player is a major signing for Barcelona this summer. To this end, the club must submit a medical report to La Liga within one month after the surgery of Terstegen.

Schchensny is not yet registered, and since 80% of Ter Stegen's salary will be spent on Joan-Garcia's registration, the situation of Schchensny will be resolved later through other planned financial operations, which is not a concern.

Barcelona cannot use the percentage of this regulation to alleviate its status exceeding its expenditure limit.

Lapest Club Budget Preparation Ordinance states: "The limit (of substitute player) shall be 80% of the cost of the injured player, excluding the amortization of their registration rights. If the contract period of the substitute player covers the T+1 season and subsequent seasons, and the club or SAD (Sports AG) does not have the cap space or registration capacity for the season, the substitute player is not allowed."
