In an interview, Mark Cuban talked about the issue of having no say in the team after he sold most of the team's shares.

He said: "After the initial sale agreement was reached, I could have continued to take charge of the team and be responsible for the operation of the team's basketball affairs. Later, we made it to the playoffs. I had no intention of leaving, but there were some differences within the team. The people who traded Doncic did not want me to stay, and then that's what it is now."
