Recently, NBA legend Tim Hardaway was interviewed by Action Net Work. In the interview, he said that Heat President Pat Riley was also involved in a scandal of a Yin-Yang contract.

Hardaway: "I tell you the truth. Riley tried to bypass the salary cap and privately signed two players with a contract of more than $20 million a year. League officials asked him, 'How did you do it? Do you want to sign other players? This is absolutely not allowed! If you have confirmed that you have promised these transactions privately, we will impose a series of penalties on you for the whole year, depriving the team of draft picks, and huge fines.' Riley eventually had to withdraw his contract to ensure that he and the team were exempted from punishment. The league even considered banning him for a whole year - not a 50 regular season game, but a whole year of bans."

Note: In 1996, Pat Riley and the Miami Heat were investigated for providing an yin-yang contract to Juwan Howard and Alonzo Mooning. The league later canceled its contract with Howard, and Riley insisted that the team's actions comply with the rules.
