As reported by Aspen, former Rayo Vallecano player Mario Suarez recently criticized the team's home facilities and club president Presa.

In the third round of the UEFA Europa League, Rayo Vallecano reversed the Polish team Lech Poznan 3-2 at home. Before the game, Lech Poznan released a video showing the visiting team's locker room, pointing out the shortcomings of Rayo Vallecano's home facilities in a satirical and critical tone.

Subsequently, Rayo Vallecano chairman Presa fought back and defended, saying: "It is unacceptable and disgusting behavior to laugh at and make fun of other people's humility or poverty."

Mario Suarez refuted Presa's statement. He believed that Presa used the word "humility" inappropriately and exposed a series of problems in the team's youth training facilities and stadium facilities. He said: "Humility It doesn't mean being shabby. Humility is not being unkind to others, not being third world level, not being the only La Liga club not selling tickets online, not ignoring fans, not maintaining facilities, leaving entrances dangerous or bathrooms unchanged for twenty years. Humility means recognizing one's own limitations."

In the face of Suarez's criticism, Presa responded that Suarez "has a grudge against Rayo Vallecano and uses every opportunity to attack". Presa further revealed that if he had listened to Suarez's advice, he might have fired coach Iraura in the first season because Suarez made such suggestions every day.

Finally, Presa expressed his regret for Suarez, saying that Rayo Vallecano had taken great care of Suarez, but Suarez's current attitude and remarks are just out of resentment towards the team and management.

It is worth mentioning that Mario Suarez played for Rayo Vallecano for 5 seasons from 2018-19 to 2022-23, playing a total of 110 times, 59 of which were coached by Iraura.
