According to Brazilian journalist Ferreira, Roma hopes to sign Palmeiras player Rios, but they also have candidates for Plan B.
If Roma cannot negotiate with Palmeiras for Rios' transfer, they will instead pursue Fruminense's Matthews Martineli, who is willing to pay Martinez a transfer fee of 15 million euros.
Martinelli is 23 years old and plays as a midfielder. His contract with Fruminense expires in 2027.
