According to French media RMC, on Tuesday, the Commercial Court of Appeal of Bordeaux ruled that Lille, Gugan and Amiens three clubs paid a sum to Bordeaux. This involves the issue of three clubs withdrawing the legal fees reimbursement after appeals from the Commercial Court.
For Bordeaux, this is a small amount of funds. The club is anxiously awaiting a ruling from the commercial court on the restructuring plan filed by Gerald Lopez on June 24. The Bordeaux club just learned that three clubs, Lille, Guern and Amiens, were ordered to repay a total of 5,000 euros.
Specifically, this amount corresponds to the repayment of legal fees. The three clubs appealed to the Commercial Court last week but then withdrew. Initially, Lille, Amiens and Gangan, as Bordeaux creditors, objected to the treatment given to them in the restructuring plan (10% of the payment is paid in 10 years), and the claims originated from the transfer transactions of Junior Onana (transfer in 2021, 201,000 euros), Aliu Baji (transfer in 2023, 3 million euros) and Jeremy Livorang (transfer in 2023, 500,000 euros).
On Friday, June 13, Bordeaux was questioned for more than two hours in the commercial court to decide whether the club can continue to operate. Of the 400 creditors in Bordeaux, 70% support the restructuring plan proposed by Gerald Lopez and his team. The final ruling will be announced at 9 a.m. on June 24. If the reorganization plan is approved by the court, Bordeaux will then be heard by the Federal Commission of the French National Administration Control (DNCG).
