The World Sports reported that ACS, a construction service company controlled by Florentino, has signed a contract with CoreWeave to build a giant artificial intelligence data center in Pennsylvania, USA.

The project was implemented through Turner, a US subsidiary of ACS, with a contract amount of up to 5.16 billion euros. The deal cemented Florentino's corporate position in the U.S. market, which has previously completed several projects in the healthcare, education and logistics sectors.

The data center will be built in Lancaster, one of the emerging technology innovation centers in the United States. The facility is reportedly designed to carry advanced AI workloads, with an initial power capacity of 100 MW and can be expanded to 300 MW. The construction will be coordinated by Chirisa Technology Park Company and Machine Investment Group.

Turner's position within the ACS Group is becoming increasingly prominent, and in 2024 it contributed nearly 40% of the group's annual profits.

This is not ACS's only technology project. In June, the group acquired Chilean Fleischmann to seize the demand boom in Latin America's data centers. At the same time, through its German subsidiary Hochtief, two contracts with a total value of 130 million euros were signed in Europe. In the field of sports, Real Madrid, headed by Florentino, also performed well, with revenue reaching 1.185 billion euros in 2024-2025 and remained profitable, and broke through the 1 billion euro revenue mark for two consecutive seasons.

Florentino was born in Madrid in 1947. As one of the most influential entrepreneurs in Spain, his personal wealth exceeds 2.3 billion euros. He has served as Real Madrid's chairman since 2009 and previously took charge of the club for the first time from 2000 to 2006. This critical period has achieved the financial health of the Galaxy Battleship.

In January 2025, the businessman, who was born as a civil engineer, was re-elected as chairman of Real Madrid for four years. In the early 1980s, he jointly acquired Construcciones Padrós, through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions, and finally formed the ACS Holdings Group in 1997.
